Dr. Vaughn is a lifelong Georgia resident, and was raised in Atlanta. She completed her under-graduate education at the University of the South, Sewanee in Tennessee. Dr. Vaughn graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. She completed three years of Internal Medicine Residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia also located in Macon. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has hospital privileges at all three hospitals in Macon.
Dr. Vaughn additionally focused on the topics of Gynecology, Nutrition and Dermatology during her training. She writes articles and gives lectures on current health issues throughout Central Georgia. She is a member of the American Medical Association, Bibb County Medical Association, and the American Medical Women’s Association.
Ronda is a Forsyth, Georgia native. She graduated from Georgia College and State University with a Masters of Science in Nursing and her Family Nurse Practitioner certification. Her background is a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and her RN certification from Georgia College.
She has worked in obstetrics and gynecology, community healthcare centers, primary care offices and most recently a federally funded clinic for the underserved. Her experiences have made her a seasoned practitioner with a broad range of skills.
Ronda has strong ties to the Macon community, raising her family right here in Bibb County. She brings 15 years of experience and compassion to Vineville Internal Medicine. Primary care is her passion and we are thrilled to have her.

Erin is a Georgia native. She graduated from Georgia College and State University with a Masters of Science in Nursing and her Family Nurse Practitioner certification. Her background is a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of West Georgia wit her RN certification.
She worked in a local level 1 trauma emergency center as a registered nurse and in internal medicine and pediatrics as a nurse practitioner. Her experiences have made her a seasoned practitioner with a broad range of skills.
Erin is very involved in the middle Georgia community. She is an active member of Mabel White Baptist Church and is raising her family in Jones County. She brings 7 Years of Experience of knowledge to Vineville Internal Medicine. Primary care is her passion and we are thrilled to have her.
Cherrice is a Nurse Practitioner who has a strong interest in the sciences and began her education in Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Cardiopulmonary Sciences. She moved to Georgia and received a BS in Nursing from Georgia College. Her education continued at Georgia College, graduating with a Master’s of Science in Nursing and her Family Nurse Practitioner certification.
Her healthcare experience began with working as a respiratory therapist at a local hospital, next working as a nurse in Neonatal Intensive Care and pre/post op surgery. She has developed a broad range of skills working at an Urgent Care Center where she focused on genitourinary, ENT, gastrointestinal, dermatology, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, immunologic, and respiratory issues.
Cherrice participates in community health projects and conferences which have become an important service to the health and well-being of the total community. She and her husband Anthony reside in Bibb County and are active members of Bloomfield Baptist Church. She brings a total of 19 years of medical experience to Vineville Internal Medicine. We are excited to have her on board!
Dr. James Thigpen graduated from Auburn University and the University of South Alabama School of Medicine in 1986. Completed the Family Medicine residency at Medical Center of Central Georgia in 1989. He has been in private practice since then at North Macon Family Physicians and now at VIM.
